Paroles d'Actu : How would you introduce yourself to someone who doesn't know you ?

Becky Rusher : Becky Rusher. Usually I just say Becky.

PdA : Why do you want to run for President of the United States ?

B.R. : We are supposed to be a free country, yet everyday it seems more and more freedoms are being taken away. I want to try and stop that. I want to put our daily lives back in our hands. I dont think the government should be part of my day to day life and they need to be reined in and kept under control. They have been out of control for a long time now and it needs to stop now before they get even worse.

PdA : What do you think about President Obama's performance at the White House ?

B.R. : He's done alright but he lies too much. He lied to each and every group he talked to before he was elected and told them just what they wanted to hear but I dont think he meant any of it. He is out for notoriety and nothing else. I do not think he really cares about anyone but himself and getting into the history books.

PdA : What are, for you, America's biggest, more pressing problems ?

B.R. : Budget, Unemployment and Energy. The budget needs cutbacks and that starts with a sliding pay scale for Congress. We really need a good plan for jobs, get people working again. Anything from lowering taxes on businesses to bringing all the outsourced jobs back here. We need to focus more on green energy and doing things that will help keep the planet going, not keep breaking it apart.

PdA : What's your project for America ?

B.R. : I don't think I have a project for America. If anything I want people to think more about how their actions effect others around them and how greed isn't a good thing. Capitalism is great but greed is something else all together and we need to understand that. Greed is what's getting in the way right now, businesses want more and more money but they don't give anything back, don't keep people employed.

PdA : Finally, why should the American voters elect you as Number 45 ? Try to convince them in a few sentences.

B.R. : I'm not a seller. I won't sell myself. I am all about helping others, whether it's a kid down the street or someone on a street corner. I'll give over my last dollar to anyone who needs it more then me. I'm not out for anything but to get my ideas out there. This is the best forum to do that. Why start small like others have told me when it would just take longer. If you want something done get out there and do it. I want America to be a good place to live again. How else do I do that but go for it all and run for president ? I know I have no experience in the political arena but I think that's what makes me a better candidate than the others. I don't lie, I won't hold back, I am honest to the point of it might sound rude sometimes and yes, the truth hurts sometimes but it needs said.

PdA : Free expression, if you want to add anything...

B.R. : I think it would be good for a change to have someone single in the White House. No sex scandals, no family problems, no problem children to deal with. It would free up the secret service for more important things they need to do. I would be the first person to do a completely free campaign and prove it can be done. Prove to the politicians they have been lying yet again to everyone saying it takes millions of dollars to run a campaign. All it takes is the internet.

People need to know that you don't have to be 60 and over to run. You have to be 35, I'm 36. I've never been out of the country, I've been to 25 states, I have lived in 9. I've been in every financial area from living in a tent to have a great job and money in the bank. Life takes you places. You need to go there to see things from a different prospective sometimes and learn how others deal with the same problem you have had in the past. You can compare notes and see what you or they could have been better. We need to talk and learn from each other so that we can stop going in these circles and go straight for a change. We haven't made any real move forward in a long time. We need to get off the merry go round and move on.
